On Iran Deal[edit]

In an August 20 op-ed for USA Today, Slaughter called Iran's nuclear program "illegal," which was not the case. She also incorrectly stated that Iran had in its possession "stockpiled plutonium and highly enriched uranium."

When confronted with these factual errors, Slaughter excused them by saying that writing for a "mass audience" caused her to forgo nuance.
