Similarly, we’ve heard Rep. Omar claim that: “Since Nuremberg, the United States has been a global leader in the pursuit of international justice. It is one of the foundational philosophies underpinning the post-war rules-based international order.”

Of course, the US government has been the leader purveyor of breaking the law, most obviously with the invasion of Iraq. And, not coincidentally, it’s the leading proponent of rhetoric around a “rules based order”.
